Most tracks were previously exclusive to CD releases.Since M027, Static Sea, and Hindsight are unlikely be re-released on CD in the near future, the World Gone CD being long overdue, and Bad Moon Rising being a standalone track not intended for any album, it made sense to bring everything together in a single EP.

An 8-track album by Riikira, serving as the original-material successor to the covers EP PAST::LIFE.
Technical difficulties
Around two-thirds of the way through development, the primary project hard drive failed, with no backup made since before work on the album began. This resulted in the album being about 2/3 of its intended length.Unrecoverable content:
The source project file containing the saved base mix and tone for guitar, drums, and bass. This loss prevented the creation of additional core tracks, as maintaining homogeneity among the foundational elements of each track was a priority.
The completed [v1] version of Larynx. The [v2] version included on this album was reconstructed from a WIP shared on Patreon and could not have existed without modern stem-splitting technology.
A finished remake of Acid Wave, of which no WIP version was ever publicly shared prior to the crash.
Various short scraps with potential to develop into new songs, though these fragments were not far enough along to even be considered WIPs and were never posted anywhere either.
Artwork
The predecessor EP, PAST::LIFE, was originally released with what is now considered a beta version of its artwork. FUTURE∶∶DEATH was initially set to use a matching design, but both albums ultimately received new, professionally commissioned artwork by ohmi, created as a pair.The beta artworks for both releases were loosely inspired by Metallica’s 1996 album Load and its 1997 follow-up Reload. The new artworks, though less abstract and featuring Riikira, were still designed to reflect that same inspiration.
